So along with the Cardinals, another one of our year round birds is the Bluejay, and one of our Bluejays has a wing that looks broken, though he can still fly. The other day I missed it , but as Kitt says.."oh , you missed the murder." I had a bath, then came out and there were feathers all over the ground, and from the window they looked alittle like Bluejay feathers, but up close it ended up being grayer, and I think it was likely Mourning Dove. So we are happy to still have our crooked winged friend here still.
So here are pics of him, of the likely Dove that went missing, and some others who visit , like the American Tree Sparrow with his two toned beak, and the Song Sparrow who is a migrant arrival, and the Junco's another year round resident just as are the CheeseBurger Birds....the Black Capped Chickadee, along with the purple finch, gold finch, downy woodpecker and starlings.
